Everyone who stayed at the "Floatel " in Northwich for Thundersprint 2007 was delighted with the warm welcome we received. For 2008, "The Floatel" will remain our official hotel and we've got an excellent deal for you. Incredibly in this time of ever increasing prices, the Floatel has actually reduced costs for 2008. That's one heck of a deal!
"The Floatel " is one of Northwich's favourite hotels and it is unique - it floats on the River Weaver! Hopefully, it will continue to stay afloat for the period of the Thundersprint but if you notice a change of scenery from your bedroom window, or see ducks swimming next to your bed, then assume you've got a slight problem.
The hotel is only a quarter of a mile away from the centre of the Thundersprint and everything is within walking distance.
We have come to an agreement with the hotel for Thundersprinters to have dinner, bed and breakfast for £40 per person on Saturday 10 May evening and £35 on Friday 9 May and Sunday 11 May. This is a huge discount on the normal price. The "Floatel" has a magnificent dining room overlooking the River Weaver and this will have a Thundersprint theme for the weekend along with a special Thundersprint menu: no doubt fish straight from the river cooked in Castrol "R" and washed down with a glass of best Northwich methanol.
The price includes a full English breakfast to get you fired up for the fun ahead.
As with last year, the hotel will serve breakfasts very early on Sunday morning so that you can be at the track promptly for scrutineering at 06.00!
Bed and Breakfast only is available at a cost of £30.00 on Saturday and £25.00 on Friday and Sunday.
Floatel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and will mix any combination of offers to suit your specific requirements.
To take advantage of this deal you must ring the hotel directly, not central booking, and state clearly that you are taking part in Thundersprint 2008 as a racer, parader, trader or spectator. If you don’t say that you are with Thundersprint 2008 you will be charged the hotel’s normal rate.
The hotel is about three minutes from the circuit. The staff at "The Floatel" are very helpful and will serve breakfast early so that we can get to the track and make a prompt start. Just let them know what time you want to eat on Sunday morning when you book your room.
How to find the "Floatel"
From M6 exit junction 19 join A556 west. After 2 miles follow signs for Northwich. Pass through Lostock Gralam and follow signs for Northwich town centre. At Northwich follow signs for ‘Stop Inn’. The Floatel Northwich is situated on London Road, 300 metres past the cinema.
